Two Paths to Independence
We offer two ways to unlock your potential:
- Commission Stylist – If you prefer a structured salon environment while building your independence, this is a great starting point. Earn competitive commissions while growing and building your business skills to make the switch to an Independent Stylist
- Independent Stylist –Jump right in! Enjoy full freedom as a business owner while still benefiting from a professional salon atmosphere and community.
Our unique co-working experience allows you to have the best of both worlds—independence with the support of a salon brand that enhances your guest experience.
Independent Stylist Stations
James Olin Salon features a large, open-concept space with high ceilings and excellent ventilation—ideal for both independent and commission stylists who thrive in a traditional salon setting.
Each independent station lease includes:
✅ Spacious stations, comfortably distanced (6 feet apart)
✅ Storage, a personal cart with a drawer, and hot tool storage
✅ Access to a shared chemical dispensary, shampoo area, and processing space with dryer chairs
✅ Towels & capes included
✅ Minimal charge for optional supplies (waxing supplies, foils, gloves, color, backbar, and retail products)
✅ Guest waiting area, shared restroom, and plenty of parking
✅ Guests enjoy refreshments, magazines, and a welcoming atmosphere
