At James Olin Salon, we begin with a personal consultation to understand your unique needs and recommend the best services for you. Stylist pricing is based on factors such as ongoing education, specialized techniques, and experience. Additional charges may apply for factors like hair texture, density, length, condition, significant style changes, extra product usage, extended consultation time, or iron work.

Cancellation Policy & Credit Card on File
At James Olin Salon, we’ve updated our cancellation policy to best serve our clients and staff. To ensure fairness to our stylists, reserved online appointments (and some color/texture services) require a credit card on file, we require all cancellations to be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.
Cancellation Fees:
James Olin Salon reserves the right to collect fees for late cancellations and no-shows, as well as require prepayment for future appointments. Clients with multiple late cancellations or no-shows may be required to pay in advance when booking their next visit.
Our policy ensures that our stylists receive consistent income and allows us to accommodate other clients who may be waiting for an appointment. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Please respond and confirm our text and emails. note that this is a COURTESY. It is the client's responsibility to know when the appointment is scheduled, In the event that we leave a message, text or email and are not able to reach you, it is not the salons responsibility and fees may apply as stated in our cancellation policy.
Gratuities are welcome for service and appreciated; special envelopes are available at the reception desk for such. A separate check, cash or venmo is recommended and may be paid directly to your stylist. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept tip on credit card transactions.
Gift certificates do not include gratuities.
We stand behind all of our products. If for some reason you are unhappy with any products purchased at our salon, please let us know. No exchanges for used opened product will only be given. Exchanges on unopened/used product must be made within 5 days of purchase. Unopened and not used products made within the 5-day time frame will be accepted for a product credit.
REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AS A SALON CREDIT ONLY TOWARDS OTHER PRODUCTS
We do not offer refunds/returns or exchanges on opened used products, or services
James Olin Salon stylists take the quality of their work very seriously. In the event that you are unhappy with your service we will do everything we can to change that. It is preferred that you see the same stylist to give them the opportunity to correct the problem and learn from the experience. If you are unwilling to see the same stylist we will be pleased to accommodate your request with another stylist. Do-over requests must be made within a 3-day time frame. Any do-over requests past the 3-day time frame may result in a partial charge. JOS is not responsible for any services done by independent stylist, however if you want to see a JOS stylist for any corrections you will be charged for the services provided at a 10% discount.
